Dampen the section and also wet the chalk. Then simply run the chalk in the sectioned piece of hair and repeat with different colors throughout the rest of the hair. Set by drying the hair with a blow dryer in low speed, high heat (be careful not to get it too close to your head). The color will last through a couple washes.
